What programs do you use?
I usually use openCanvas for my art, but I've been experimenting with Photoshop CS6 and SAI as well.
Are you attending school?
Yes, but unfortunately not for art! I study Computer Science at uOttawa. I definitely don't recommend coming here if you're aiming for digital arting.
I get asked this a lot LOL I was introduced to iScribble.net and I couldn't be arsed to make a proper username so I flipped a dictionary and used the first word I saw. It became a thing not long after.
Who or what was your inspiration?
Definitely monster-esque films and stories. Particularly stuff like Digimon, Pokemon, YGO, and Disney/Pixar movies. The bigger/scarier/meaner the better. Naturally, when I sought that dragons were a thing, I instantly fell in love with them. And then when I came to deviantART, Shinerai was definitely my most looked up to artist.
How long have you been drawing?
I've been drawing seriously for about five years, but I've always been a doodler since I could pick up a pencil. Notable memory was when classmates referred me to the teacher as the "the kid who draws monsters"!
Any quick tips?
Start small and work your way up ;>
Also eat your vegetables.
First of all, I'd like to make it clear that all images you see in my gallery were made by me. Please respect them as you would respect your own!
Can I repost your art!
On the condition that you do not crop out or remove my watermarks! I try not to make them too visible in the first place, so it'd be greatly appreciated if it remains untouched.
Can I use them?
Ask me! Generally, as long as you're not making any profit off of them, you're absolutely welcome to. It'd be nice if you could give me some kind of notice, so that I know what it's being used for and can give you explicit permission. Honestly, I just ask that you respect and leave out my characters and the characters I've been commissioned to draw (these images should not be used!), since they're essentially our babies. Just don't use anything commercially! Obviously, the safest way to do this is to ask me as there are probably specific conditions where I wouldn't allow it.
What about tracing/heavily referencing?
That's fine with me. Any credit would be much appreciated and obviously preferred. Please be honest about this and don't falsify any information. No tracing people's characters though!
